Building Hope: Constructing a Daycare at P-World of Design Free Skilling Camp

In the heart of Nakivale Refugee Camp lies a beacon of hope and opportunity – the P-World of Design Free Skilling Camp. This innovative initiative, founded by Dr. Phiona Charlene Namanya, is dedicated to empowering refugees through education and skills training, providing a pathway to a brighter future amidst adversity.

One of the unique challenges faced by learners at the Skilling Camp is the lack of childcare facilities. Many of the learners, predominantly women, are mothers with infant babies. Balancing the demands of learning new skills while caring for their little ones presents a significant obstacle to their education and empowerment journey.

The importance of this daycare facility cannot be overstated. By alleviating the burden of childcare, it will enable mothers to fully engage in their learning, empowering them to acquire valuable skills and knowledge that will transform their lives and those of their families. Moreover, it will create a supportive community where women can network, share experiences, and uplift one another on their journey towards self-sufficiency and resilience.

Every dollar contributed to this fundraising campaign brings us one step closer to realizing this vision of empowerment and inclusivity. Together, we can build more than just a daycare – we can build hope, opportunity, and a brighter future for the courageous women and children of Nakivale Refugee Camp.

Join us in our mission to make a difference. Together, we can build a better tomorrow for all.
